The World Coalition calls for applications for a consultant in charge of fundraising.
Job description
Under the supervision/direction of the Director of the World Coalition, the consultant will be required to:
• research donors that may be interested in financing the World Coalition and create a comprehensive list of foundations and potential donors;
• research and list the various government programs and institutions providing grants which could benefit the Coalition;
• research all other sources of funding;
• draft and send applications for funding and grants;
• follow-up on requests made to donors and potential donors.
Skills
Demonstrated experience in the field of fundraising, and preferably in a national, regional, or international NGO in the field of human rights;
A university degree in political science, international relations, or marketing;
A good understanding of the NGO sector;
Knowledge of the EIDHR;
Well-developed communication, negotiation and drafting skills;
Good judgement, as well as good organizational skills and an ability to be diplomatic;
Able to work in a team environment;
Proficient in the use of the internet and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint…)
Fluent in written and spoken French and English;
Knowledge of the topic of the death penalty is desired.
Conditions
Contract for a period of six months (May – October 2014).
Remuneration is negotiable depending on qualifications and experience.
The applicant must reside in the Paris region in order to meet regularly with the World Coalition team.
