Temporary position to cover Maternity leave
1. Management of campaigns:
World Day:
- Finalisation of campaign tools: monitoring translations, layout and printing.
- Preparation of mailing to all members and partners, and follow up.
- Creation of the "World Day” page on the website of the World Coalition in collaboration with the Editor in chief.
Urgent actions:
- Writing letters and statements
- Follow-up of urgent actions
2 .Support for the general coordination of the World Coalition (Steering Committee / General Assembly):
- Mailing statutory documents for the Annual General Assembly meeting
- Support for the preparation of the program of the General Assembly (drafting the program in collaboration with the Director, contacting stakeholders, drafting the report on the workshops of the General Assembly)
- Support for the preparation of the June Steering Committee meeting as well as of the General Assembly meeting.
- Participation in the General Assembly and on-site support to the team.
3. Mobilisation of the World Coalition members by supporting their requests and the exchange of information.
4. Other ad hoc tasks as required.
Experience required:
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in the field of human rights (preferably in a national regional or international NGO)
- Knowledge on the subject of the death penalty is desired
Skills and training:
- A university degree in political science, international relations or international law and human rights;
- Fluent in English and French;
- Ability to work in a team and independently, discipline, attention to detail, ability to prioritise;
- Availability to travel abroad.
Conditions:
- Salary based on qualifications and experience (gross salary: 2500 € per month). Other benefits are: contribution to the costs of transportation and meals (meal vouchers);
- 35 hours per week according to French law;
- Five month contract (from March 31 to August 29, 2014);
- Based in the Paris region (France).
