The main aims of Action for Quality Education (Action pour une Education de qualité) are:
• to support community efforts to develop schooling, functional literacy and training;
• to promote self-development through information, awareness, advocacy and leadership actions;
• to strengthen the capacity of local communities to mobilize resources for development activities;
• to promote specific projects for disadvantaged girls’ education, training and mentoring ;
• to contribute to the fight against poverty, desertification, violence in schools, STIs/HIV/AIDS and water-borne diseases;
• to promote environmental education, the extension of NTC, the spirit of community organisations, eco-tourism and job creation for the youth.
